On 11.09.2009 was held the first edition of 'Lubuski Lider Biznesu' (Business Leader) competition in the Concert Hall in Zielona Góra. The best enterprises were awarded with certificates and statuettes. Spomasz S.A. was pronounced the best company in the group of medium enterprises in Lubuskie Province.
The event was organized by Western Chamber of Industry and Commerce, ,,Gazeta Lubuska'' and under the patronage of the Marshal of the Lubuskie Province. Companies of various status and size were allowed to compete. Nevertheless the competitors had to meet certain conditions, such as: the company had to be registered and have the premises in the Lubuskie Province as also it had to be operating in the market for at least two years and should not have any tax and social insurance arrears.
The companies have been divided into four groups: micro (those employing up to 9 people), small (10-49), medium (50-249) and big (over 250). Out of 50 enterprises that had entered for the competition the Competition Jury nominated the best companies and presented them with certificates. Moreover, best three companies in each group, which makes it 12 altogether, were given ,,Lubuski Lider Biznesu'' statuettes for the year 2009/2010.
And so in respective groups the first prize was awarded to: micro - printing house Max Print from Gorzów, small - proALPHa from Zielona Góra, medium - Spomasz from Żary, big - Diament from Zielona Góra.
The statuettes and certificates were presented by: Vice-Minister for Infrastructure Piotr Styczeń, Governor of the Lubuskie Province Helena Hatka, Marshal of the Lubuskie Province Marcin Jabłoński, Director of Media Regionalne Division Grzegorz Widenka and the Chairman of the Competition Jury Jerzy Korolewicz.
